Announcing the world premiere of the "Arachna-Track" roof rack utility system! An innovative new idea in roof rack design that takes effective elements from traditional roof rack designs and incorporating them into some new, very convenient and safe features. The all new, patent pending, Arachna-Track Utility Roof Rack system is an entirely new approach to roof rack design. Function - The Arachna-Track system is designed to function like any other roof rack storage basket. This model, designed for a second generation Nissan Frontier is thoughfully designed for simple and easy installation. The foot plates on the roof have identical dimensions to the stock Nissan roof rack allowing for a "no-drill" install for anyone with a factory rack from Nissan. A paperboard drill template will be provided with the kit for trucks that do not have pre-existing mounting holes in place. Additionally the Arachna-track utility system mounts the rear base stabilizer plates in the bed of the truck. For those with Utili-track systems in your ride and adapter plate will mount the rear plates into the bed floor utili-track system. This will make for simple, easy, installations. Safety - Have you ever tried to climb up onto the roof of your vehicle to retrieve an oversized off-road spare tire? I have, and they are VERY heavy! The Arachna-track utility roof rack system is designed with this in mind. Instead of balancing on the top of your truck to place and retrieve items on the roof rack, Arachna-Track brings the rack to you! Utilizing a 1700lb rated Warn utility winch this rack will automatically slide down from the roof to a resting position in the bed of the truck, mounted at a 45 degree angle. Now you have easy access to load, secure, and unload any items you wish to carry without putting yourself in a dangerous position trying to balance heavy weight on the top of your truck.
The winch motor easily slides the rack in a controlled manner from the roof-top position to a "pre-runner" style mounted at an angle in the bed. This functionality gives you, the consumer, more options for storage. Why do some people shy away from a roof racks despite the volume of extra storage capacity gained? There are several factors, here are a few that may have influenced your decision not to purchase a roof rack in the past. We hope we have overcome some of these obstacles and provided a product that you CAN use in real life. One reason people shy away from roof racks is GAS MILEAGE! With a rack sitting on the roof of your vehicle you are fighting significantly more wind resistance than without which can have a significant effect on your fuel economy. Arachna-track addresses this issue by giving you the option to place your rack in the bed of the truck in a pocket of neutral air. Antother reason people may be reluctant is the thought of attempting installations of anything that requires them to drill or cut their current vehicle. We have thoughfully designed this system to install easily and simply for anyone. If you have any mechanical aptitude, or if you can follow clearly thought out directions, you will be able to install this entire system in a couple of hours or less without any special tools. Pre-cut and measured paperboard template makes drilling (when necessary) a no-brainer. Passenger safety - Who would ever think roof rack and passenger safety could be used in the same sentence? Well that is exactly the case when you decide to step up your game and purchase the Arachna-track system. Not only does it provide the safety and security of putting heavy and awkward items where you can safely reach them, the integrated sport bar behind the cab will provide additional supplemental roll-over protection to compliment the safety features built into your vehicle from the factory. This rack is OVER engineered to handle whatever you can throw at it. There is a standard Arachna-track system available for weights up to 300 lbs.
